Mzuzu is a city in the northern region of Malawi, in Central Africa. Despite the small Indian population in this city, Satsang assemblies were started through the efforts of Shri Rasikbhai Patel, who had settled in Mzuzu for business from Limbe city. Over time, visits by BAPS swamis gave momentum to these Satsang activities. The need for a mandir became apparent from these gatherings at devotees’ homes, and efforts to acquire land began.

In 2018, after land was acquired, the foundation stone ceremony was performed by Pujya Kothari Bhaktapriya Swami. With the cooperation and dedication of local devotees, a beautiful mandir was constructed.

Then, in Sarangpur, on 22 April 2024, His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj performed the Vedic murti-pratishtha rituals of the murtis for the mandir.

Subsequently, two days of celebrations marked the inauguration of the new mandir in Mzuzu in the presence of Yagneshwar Swami, Nikhilesh Swami, Priyavrat Swami and other BAPS swamis.
