Discussion Points:
Group 1: (6-13yrs)
- Pramukh Swami Maharaj (Bapa) promises the little boy Shambhu that he will come to his home. Why did Bapa visit his home even though it was so late at night and was very cold then?
- Can you act out the feelings that Shambhu showed when Bapa said he would visit his home, that same evening? How would you feel if it was you instead of Shambhu?
- Describe and discuss the compassion of Bapa and the extent he goes to please his bhaktas - in this case the little boy, Shambhu.
- Shambhu’s faith that Bapa will visit his home was firm. What reactions and actions did Shambhu do to show his firm conviction of faith?
- Watching this video, Bapa shows true love for his bhaktas. What part of this video touched you the most and why?
Family Activity: Preparation for bapa’s visit to your home at short notice:
Telephone rings - Saturday morning:
Your dad/family member gets a call from a karyakar/sant that Mahant Swami will visit your home in the afternoon for lunch at 1.00pm, the following day. It's already 9.00am (on Saturday) and you’ve just finished your breakfast.
Decide, make plans and prepare to make Swami Bapa’s visit a very memorable one for your family.
Points to consider:
- Yes, it’s very exciting but you have very little time.
- Decide how you will decorate the home and the ghar mandir.
- What will the menu be for lunch?
- Allocate the tasks to each member of the family.
- Get help from a few friends and family members to make the best preparations.
- Make a shopping list.
- Start the tasks along with Bapa’s smruti to make him raji.
- And anything else you’d like to do.
Remember to write everything about Bapa’s visit once done; this can be all the preparations you did, the excitement you experienced, the prasangs that happened when Bapa came, the smrutis you have, etc.
Summary:
The Satpurush always fulfills our wishes in order to make us happy; he never ever has cared about his own health in order to make us happy. It is very rare when we get such an opportunity of serving the Satpurush. However, we must always endeavor to please Bapa. We must serve him and remember him in thought, words and deeds. By keeping a firm, unflinching faith in Bapa helps us to get closer to Bhagwan and the Satpurush.
