Pramukh Parva - Day 2
Life Lessons from Pramukh Swami Maharaj (English) - Undeterred Devotion
Even at the age of 83, Pramukh Swami Maharaj did not ever let a single obstacle get in the way of his devotion to Maharaj, so much so that he walked to the Mandir! From this prasang we can see first-hand how true Swami Bapa’s bhakti is to Maharaj, and the perfect example he sets to us.
Let's discuss this prasang even further through the following questions:
- Can you remember where this prasang took place and what year?
- Jetpur, Gujarat, March 1st 2004
- Where was Pramukh Swami Maharaj going to?
- Gondal
- Even though the roads were blocked due to the festival, what did this prasang show about Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s devotion?
- Unwavering, he was determined to do darshan of Maharaj, etc.
- What would we have done in this scenario?
- I.e. we would have said we would come another time, etc.
- This is just one prasang, where we see Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s unflinching bhakti to Maharaj, can you think of any more?
- Each family member should now take this opportunity to go around and say a prasang.
- What are some ways in which we can also perform bhakti?
- Follow niyams, doing our daily ahniks, making different items to offer to Maharaj, etc,.
- How can we ensure that we continue to have strong bhakti, just as Pramukh Swami Maharaj did?
- Satang reading to increase our mahima, regularly doing prapti no vichar, etc.
