‘Timeless Hindu Wisdom’ is a new web series presented by the learned swamis of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. It aims to deliver insightful teachings from ancient Hindu scriptures in a contemporary, bite-sized format.
Session 12 sees Chaitanyamurti Swami explore how to stabilise the mind through knowledge and wisdom.
Chaitanyamurtidas Swami was raised in Dallas, USA, where he graduated with a major in Computer Science, before being initiated as a sadhu by HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj in 1989. He spent 16 years in India where he studied Sanskrit as well as Hindu and Swaminarayan scriptures. He also taught other swamis various courses, including Religions of the World. Currently based in Robbinsville, New Jersey, he oversees many of the Community Outreach activities for BAPS across North America. With a background in the sciences and a deep study of Hindu scriptures, and having travelled throughout the world, he offers a distinct vantage point in addressing some of life's most basic challenges. This vantage point is well-reflected in his thought-provoking oratory.
This session was webcast from BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London, UK, on Tuesday 16 June 2020 at 7:30pm BST.
